My Approach
I have an eclectic, strengths-based and person-focused approach. I tailor the treatment to include various modalities, which is unique to each individual. I believe you have everything you need inside of you; and I guide/support you exploring and discovering this. I have worked in school and community-based settings, where I learned developed assessment and family therapy skills.
I have worked in adult short-term mental health residential centers, where I learned about systems theory and crisis interventions. My Master's degree is in Social Work, with an emphasis in Community Mental Health. I have facilitated many groups (grief, social skills, expressive arts, book circles) I have Gottman Level 1 training to provide couples therapy. I have been apart of Gender Diverse Consultation Group since 2021. I have received trainings in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Community Resiliency Model, mindfulness, somatic-based and trauma-informed.
I work in accordance with WPATH standards of care.
It’s important to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with. I recommend getting a feel for each other to make sure it’s a good fit on both sides.
